Hello, I’m Louyse
For more than 20 years, conversations with people have been at the centre of my work.
I’ve worked with people finding their feet in a new role, making decisions at executive tables, considering what they want next, or working out how to bring something important to life.
My work has taken me across industries, organisations and cultures, including resources, transport, government and community services. I have worked with people across Australia and internationally, including Asia, Africa, Europe, North America and South America.
Before and alongside coaching, I also worked in project and operational management, so I understand the difference between an idea that sounds good and something that has to work in real life.
Experience has taught me that people—and their lives—rarely fit into neat categories. Work can affect home. Health can change what is possible. Organisational politics, money, relationships and responsibility can all shape the same decision.
I help you look at the whole situation without making it more complicated than it already is.
Experience you can draw on
My background includes coaching, leadership development and operational management.
For more than two decades, I have worked with people in roles from team leader to executive level and those looking to develop into those roles. Also with people considering career changes, experiencing burnout, dealing with illness or relationships, and thinking differently about how they want to live.
The circumstances vary. What matters is understanding where you are, what’s happening around you and what needs your attention now.
Early in my career, over three years, I worked full-time by day and coached or took part in a large-scale personal and leadership development program most evenings and weekends — often seven days a week. I loved the leadership development I experienced there, and watched it change the people I trained alongside. I went on to coach and head-coach additional programs. Much of this concerned life beyond someone’s job—relationships, family, confidence, commitments and what they wanted to create. It gave me substantial early experience of working with the whole person, not only the role they held at work.
For more than 20 years, I worked with leadership development consultancy Modal, Conexus and Actrua. I started as a Project Co-ordinator, moved through Project Manager and Operations Manager, and eventually became Principal Consultant – Coaching.

Coaching and therapy
I am a coach, not a psychologist, and coaching is not therapy.
There is room in our conversations for difficult, personal and emotionally demanding situations. My role is to help you think, understand what is happening and make choices about what comes next.
If something would be better supported by a psychologist, doctor or another professional, I will say so.
